The Mountain Premier League (MPL) is proud to announce a formal affiliate league partnership with
the Gem State Elite Soccer League (GSEL) of Idaho. Under the agreement, GSEL will operate as
the North Division of the MPL Western Conference, extending competitive men's pro-am soccer
deeper into the Rocky Mountain region and creating a clear pathway to a Western Conference
championship.

The affiliation aligns two independently operated leagues under a shared competitive framework while
preserving the identity, autonomy, and season structure that each league has built within its own
market. A Regional Pathway to a Western Conference Title: As part of the affiliation, GSEL will serve as the Western Conference's North Division. The championof the Gem State Elite Soccer League will earn a place in the Western Conference Final, where theywill face the champion of the Western Conference South Division to determine the WesternConference title. The structure gives every GSEL club a direct route from Idaho league play into an interstate
championship match, and it gives MPL's Southern Division clubs a genuine regional rival to compete
against once conference play concludes.

been building toward," said Don Harmon, Mountain Premier League. "Idaho has a strong, competitive
soccer community, and GSEL has done the work to organize it at a high level. This partnership
rewards their champion with a bigger stage while giving our Southern Division clubs a true regional
final to play for."

Preserving League Identity While Expanding the Map: The affiliate model is designed to grow the regional footprint of pro-am soccer without disrupting what already works in each market. GSEL will continue to operate its own competition, schedule, and standards inside Idaho. MPL will continue to operate its Southern Division through its established club network. The two leagues connect at the postseason, where their champions meet in the Western
Conference Final. That approach reflects the MPL's broader philosophy as it expands across the Rocky Mountain region: partner with strong local operators, respect the leagues they have built, and create meaningful
interstate competition on top of them. Building the Western Conference: The Western Conference North and South alignment is the next step in the MPL's multi-conference build-out across the Rocky Mountain region. It establishes a repeatable template — regional divisions feeding into a conference final — that can scale as additional affiliate leagues and clubs join thestructure in future seasons. For players, coaches, and supporters in Idaho, the affiliation means Gem State Elite clubs are now playing for more than a state title. For MPL's Southern Division, it means the road to a conference championship now runs north.
